Registering sale information onto the blockchain can be incredibly useful for securing transaction data. By immutably recording data, you ensure that transaction data will be easily accessible to you and the Collector. Additionally, a sale record gives you the confidence that no information has been or will be changed.
Sale records are most relevant to those Registration Partners who also act as selling entities. Sale records are similar to registration records, but more information specific to the transaction can also be entered here. For example, sale records can be attached to specific auctions and art fairs, sale records can document price data, and sale records can indicate the entities who bought and sold the work.
You are never required to disclose personal or revealing information about the Collector or yourself on Artory. At the end of the day, you as Registration Partner are in control of what information is added to the blockchain.
