The cornerstone of the Artory Registry is its dependence on vetted Registration Partners with years of experience. When an artwork is registered on the blockchain, it has gone through a stringent review by a trusted expert. If the expert has any doubt about the information provided in a registration request, they will not register the artwork onto the blockchain. When the record is approved, the Registration Partner must also make a public statement detailing their review process.
Moreover, artworks can receive multiple registration records, meaning that multiple experts have reviewed and approved the information provided by the Collector. This system of checks and balances represents the validated and endorsed data that is at the backbone of the Artory Registry.
Like currency, our records are not connected to the physical asset. Rather, it is the trust in our system and a strict standard of diligence that gives each record its current value.
Artory is also working with partners that create both digital and physical tags that can link the physical artwork to its digital record. Ultimately, it is up to the market to decide and enforce which solution they deem the most effective, and Artory can work with any of these solutions.
